WinNT4 SP6, Keep logon screen

Dear All,

I have a WinNT4 BDC SP6, last Sat morning, after I enter Ctrl+Alt+Del and correct user and password, it pop up a message box saying "Please wait while network is closing...." and then roll back to the Logon (Ctrl+Alt+Del) page.

I have try the following,

1. Hard Reset
2. VGA Mode
3. using command "NetDom BDC PC_BDC /reset" at PDC

Same result happen. The Mapping drive is normal, workstation can see the server file.
What can I do next, I don't want to reinstall the whole system.

Please HELP!

Sounds like the drive permissions were changed.

Try putting the drive as slave in another Windows NT machine (note: not
Windows 2000) and set the permissions back. At least the system account (nt
authority) "Full Control" of the %systemdrive% and the drive you're trying
to put the pagefile on.

Hi Dave,

i too encounter the same problem .. only administrator
cannot logon to the server, but i can log on as a normal
user!

What happens when you try? Are you logging on locally? As always also check
Event Viewer for errors.

Hi Dave,

same problem as Nick encounter when i log on as
administrator .. but no problem is i log on as
a normal user (yes! log on locally)
