Unaccountably an error message has started to pop up everytime I boot up. This error has resisted a registry fix from Ontrack's Registry Fixer and a reinstall of Windows ME. The message:"Failed to load control 'Winsock" from MSWINSCK.OCX. Your version of MSWINSCK.OCK may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated.

If you re-installed Windows ME, and still the error persists, make sure you deleted each and every file of your old Windows ME installation and the Common Files in C:\Program Files before installing it afresh.

If you did exactly the above, and still recieve the error, keep track of which programs you install after installing Windows ME - one of those might be creating trouble.
