Anyone know how to get the actual filename associated with an (NTFS) MFT
file number?

If you have perfect disk you can use that. Their trial version should be ok. On the View menu.

Awesome. Raxco's "PerfectDisk" did the trick nicely. Other features in
this program look interesting/promising as well.
