And I'd rather be comfortably sat at a desk typing code than spend my time shoving my hand up a cow's arse in the freezing rain, ta very much
Hey, it could be worse. He might have to milk the <i>one-uddered</i> cow <i>while</i> shoving his hand up the cow's arse in the freezing rain. :O

Stuff I write doesn't generally get pirated anyhoo, so it's no concern of mine. Very specialised market, and you'd need to be an ex-employee in order to get around the inevitable support issues, and even then there's not one person that knows 100% of any one system we sell (actually, that's a lie - we have one product which is known completely by someone, but that's me). Not that that's deliberate of course, just what happens when you're only a small company.
**ROFL** My stuffus doesn't get pirated either (or at least if it does, I don't care). So long as I get my paycheck I don't care what people do with my code. Besides, it's only used in an analytical x-ray crystalography market, so it's not like the scope of MS Word or something.

Still, I think wusy might have to be shot. Even if the rampant pirating wasn't enough to irk me, then he goes and calls us "fucckin geeky nerdy pissheads". And <i>then</i> we're "slaves for IT" and "have a strange atitude when communicating with other people" (whatever <i>that</i> means).

I think we're going to have to set up wusy with a steer, a cup, some KY, and a webcam. Then after the fact we can put the video to music and sell it on CD for $5. And all proceeds from the video will, of course, go to THG banner advertisements selling the video.

D00d, it's actually not that bad shooving your hand&arm in a cows arse in the middle of a heavy rain when you really think about it. Rather 'refreshing' to be honest.

Man....you guys....you and Alltaken are one of a kind.

I'm sure our software licencing encryption is laughably easy to break for the sorts of people who crack M$'s stuff, but unless you:
a)run an Amusement Arcade/Casino type operation
b)have had some training from us on the system, so you know how to use it
c)have intimate knowledge of the System, it's database structure & Are pretty competent in SQL (for doing your own support, as obviously we won't support you)
d)Can crack the licencing (like I said, <i>comparatively</i> simple....)
..
Then there's not much point in it for you...

I'm not overly concerned, but being a small company we need the cashflow, so I would be most annoyed with anyone using our stuff for free. That said though, even <i>if</i> they could get hold of it, figure out how to get it installed, crack the licencing, and work out how to use it (Not <i>that</i> difficult, it's reasonably user-friendly, honest  ) - all without any input from us of course.. Even then, they'd still need to figure out how to solve any problems they encounter (and they will... they <i>always</i> do... :frown: ).. So I'm not worried about it.

Seeing as he's just claimed to find it 'refreshing' to stick one's hand up a cow's arse, I suspect he merely needs some therapy. Shooting him is perhaps slightly over the top... unless it's shooting him <i>up</i> with something prescribed by his therapist of course

**ROFL** My software is kind of the same way. It might be user friendly, but there are actually several licenses to crack because it's comprised of so many different components, and it's a bit complicated to install for the same reason. Even then if you don't have the analytical x-ray crystalography hardware, the software really isn't going to do much since you can't run something that isn't there. :O

How about we shoot him with a tranq gun after loading the dart up with ecstasy? We'll see what he does with the cow <i>then</i>. And then shoot him with the webcam of course. :O
