Wipe and reformat simpletech 160 GB made on PC but want cleared to use on MacBook

I tried using erase function on my MacBook but it still has lots files.... how do I totally clean that drive to use only on my MacBook Pro

Take the drive out, and connect it with a SATA to USB powered connector. Format the entire drive, and then you can load whatever you want.
