Ok I installed some new upgrades to my PC and one of the upgrades was an 250GB SSD, After installing all my upgrades in my tower I left the SATA cable to my 1TB HDD unplugged and did a clean install to my SSD. Now that I am up and running with the SSD with my OS and all updates are done, I want to wipe my HDD and just use it for storage. My question is " HOW TO "? Like I said I just want to wipe it clean and set it up to be a storage drive for my games , movies, docs and so on. I just want to do it right

Let me know and thank you

Dennis

It's quite simple actually,

With your PC turned off, re-plug your HDD into the SATA port of the mobo and on the HDD itself as well. ( Don't forget to plug in on the PSU too )

When you boot your PC again, it will be automatically detected as a external drive by your system.
Just right click on it and click to format it, just like you'd do to a USB.

After it's done, it will be clean to use as you wish.
Just make sure to get anything you might want from it out of it before the formatting.
