Wired connection drops during power cut, even with a UPS

So when the power goes, despite both my CPU and Modem being powered by a UPS, the computer says I lost my internet, while still having a network connection.

The same connection leads to a Wi-Fi adapter, which continues to function after the power cut, so it must be my computer.

I'm running Windows 10 pro.

Solution
So your cable goes directly between your router and PC ?

This makes no sense if this happening because the power to the ethernet cable comes from both end device....both of which have power.
How is you modem connected to the the internet? Coaxial? It may run through your circuit breaker because that can have surges, meaning that if you are shutting off power from the circuit breaker it could be turning the coax off. You can test this be seeing if you have access to the devices in your LAN, or just try accessing your routers web gui.

Do you still have internet on your wireless devices? The coax should be a direct connect to the modem, so if the internet is available it should be on both wired and wireless. If the ISP is down you will have neither.

Allow me to clarify,
The modem goes through a firewall, then a switch and then my computer. The wi-Fi is also through the switch, And functions as normal when we lose power.

So the Modem is working through the surge. So is everything else. It's just my computer.

Thanks for the speedy replies btw. Appreciate it.

Obviously ^THIS.

The electric company purposely cut your house and nobody else? unlikely.

Go ahead, throw the breaker at your main panel and see what happens.

Because WIFI only exists within the boundary of your house.

I sense you are stuck in your incomplete understanding of how things works.

I suspect you are going to have to do some more testing. The only way this can happen is if some device has lost power. Unless you have some special software loaded that talks to your UPS your PC does not even know it running off the UPS battery.

If you for example plug your PC directly into a router with a ethernet and both the router and the pc are on the UPS it has to work. Its not like the ethernet cable needs its own power supply.

Since this makes no sense there has to be some other device involved causing this issue.

So, I went and turned off the power to look at everything, and here's a clearer picture:
So, The ISP is definitely not at fault, The Wireless Internet is fine. Works Correctly. Same as during a regular power cut.
However, it isn't that my computer is still connected to the network without Internet, My computer just doesn't register the Ethernet cable anymore. It's still there, I made sure it was plugged in right. The computer just doesn't register it.

I turned the power back on, and the Ethernet cable registers again.

That's the problem, yea. Makes no sense

Edit: So I fixed It. Apparently at some point someone messed with my Ethernet cable, and put it through a second switch after the first one in a different part of the house. One without UPS supply.

Thanks for trying to help guys, sorry for wasting your time.
