Wired connection slower than wireless

Hi all,

I apologize in advance if I'm just plain dumb. I recently purchased a 20ft Ethernet cable to speed up my internet connection. On wireless, I would download files at about 2 MB/s. On wired I get 1.5 MB/s. Is it supposed to be like this

If your card that your cable is plugged in to is only capable of, or is only set to 10Mbps then this would be expected. See if you can set the card higher to 100Mbps or buy faster card.
