My WiFi connection has never had a problem. Recently I started a job from home that requires a wired connection, so I purchased a 14 foot CAT5e ethernet networking cable. It works, but approx 2-5 times per hour the connection will cut out for 4-6 seconds. My ISP sent a technician out and he couldn't figure out the issue. He tinkered with settings and networks and possible solutions for almost an hour. Every time he tried something, the connection would cut out within a few minutes.
Everything on their end including the modem is working perfectly, and his only thought was possibly a faulty ethernet cable. So I went back and bought another one brand new. Again, same issue.
What could the problem be? Why does only the WiFi work properly? I need help. Thank you!
