Wired microphone with bluetooth headset

I am a gamer and have recently bought a high quality microphone for in game chat. I'm wanting to use this microphone while having my Bluetooth headset on at the same time just for listening. Problem is the fact that when I activate my headset, Windows automatically disables my wired microphone and enables my microphone that is part of my Bluetooth headset.

Can both the Bluetooth headset and the wired microphone work at the same time? Your input is appreciated.

As I see it, you would have to buy a wired headset which has separate jackplugs for mic and earphones but don't plug it's mic jack in (that's assuming your PC has separate mic & earphone jacks).

I can't see you achieving what you want with the bluetooth headset as there's no way I know of to disable the bluetooth mic independently of the bluetooth earphones since they are "paired" to the bluetooth adapter as a single device.

Thanks for your input. I was hoping I could still use the wireless headset, but I'll try the corded option.
