wired mouse stop working with blinking led

I have a 3 year old wired mouse.
It was working perfectly with my notebook, but today it suddenly stop working.
When plugged in to notebook, it's back light (sensor) starts blinking. And cursor won't move.

I tried on 2 different PCs, on Windows 7/8 and Ubuntu.
On Windows 8, windows says the device is malfunctioned.

Is it possible to fix it? What can I do at home? I love it very much, and can't live with another mice! :|

ohk ohk man me to i also have that old mouse so take out mouse from the slot then reconnect it

in the cable connector there are 4 litte tab the 2 external are for power and the middle one for data so you could use a glass lens screwdriver and lift gently the tab see the wiring here http://pinouts.ru/Slots/usb_pinout.shtml

may b mouse is gone but may b u r in luck lets try another mice in same pc
