A. Network – only two devices my phone and my ps4
B. Isp – spectrum (100/10Mb)

• My questions: what’s best settings for my modem combo ? For my ps4?
1. Does router settings effect lan connection?
Technician that came to my house check the lines didn’t help a lot he said lines are fine and he asked me he didn’t know about a cat 7 ethernet cable because he seen my flat cat 7 wire but he suggested me to get new modem because sbg6580 not good but im not sure if he was just trying to fool me by renting one spectrum router which is $10 extra month but i said no ill just stay with mines. I experience lag during late nights , also so it cant be peak hours which is really bad . I live in southern California only have two isp around here spectrum and frontier which was fios while ago so I cannot change providers any ideas or tips please help
