Question Wired speed cut in half through old router

Hi all. First question so please forgive any redundancy on my part.

I have a Belkin PlayN600 from 2010-2012 (can't remember exactly), a decent router back in the day. Comcast provides our service at 150mbps/5mbps, both numbers easily reached when a laptop is hardwired to my modem. Once the router comes into play, however, the wired connection drops to a max of 75mbps/5mbps. This was tested with multiple ethernet cables (cat5e-6) and with two different devices and does not change when plugged into my apartment's LAN. Firmware is updated (last updates for this model 2015).

The question::: Am I missing an important setting that needs to be changed? Or is it as I fear and I am long overdue for a new one?

SPECS:
Belkin Play N600 Wireless Dual-band N Router
Model: F7D8302 v1
Serial: 121011g4107246

Many thanks for the hive-mind's time and expertise!
