wired/wireless network adapter

looking at network adapters right now and im not sure what to get
making a gaming pc and i mainly use wireless in my house, but ill be using wired on campus next semester in my dorm.
do i need a pci express x1 interface or a usb 2.0 for wired? whats better?
i havent looked into wireless yet but if anyone can give me a good suggestion ide appreciate it

Your motherboard is ready for wired connection out-of-the-box. You only need a wireless adapter. I prefer the pcie x1 cards that are inexpensive. I have several in various computers and all have been working well for years (Sabrent, Rosewill and ASUS). Usually priced $20 or less.
