Wired XBO Controller not working

Hello. My new wired Xbox One Controller is not turning on. I tried getting Xbox One Accessories App that didn't work. I also don't see any drivers being automatically updated. In device manager there is no "Xbox One Controller" that I can see.

Which version of Windows?

Also post the exact model of the Xbox One controller or the site your bought it from.

The reason I asks this is because as odd as it sounds there are versions of Xbox controllers that specify for Xbox or Xbox & PC. It's probably related to the firmware on the controller but I have seen some that just don't work on PC.

It's a PDP Stealth Series Wired controller. Windows 10. It says for Xbox and Windows. I tried downloading the firmware and also doing a Windows update. Still doesn't turn on.
