Hello community

Good afternoon to everyone,

My wired xbox 360 control I bought less than a month ago, disconnects itself and changes toplayer 2. and this happens only on the CREATORS UPDATE version 1703 and only happens in this version . Before updating, this never happened before . this happens at all games the different games i playe at different times, randomly. For example in Dark Souls every time an enemy attacks me and I have to block it, the controller disconnects , in batman arkham knight it disconnects randomly either in the battles or in the air and in all the games i play. So it is not the control is the update! do you know whats happening??
.
I uploaded a video and listen to the discconect prompt

Not sure if this will help since it seems a weird Windows bug, but:

1. right-click start-> Device Manager
2. go to XBOX controller at bottom and "Uninstall Device"
3. Plug it back in

You could also try different USB connections. I assume you already REBOOTED at least once.

*Finally, if stumped maybe you should ROLLBACK as there should be a backup made so you can go back prior to the new update. Then stay there or try the update again and maybe it works this time.

Other solutions:
a) get W10 Install media (same version such as W10 Home 64-bit)
b) run USB stick/DVD from desktop and open "startup.exe"
c) "upgrade" to Windows 10
d) *Make sure to choose to keep your DATA and APPLICATIONS
e) if asks for a key don't enter one
f) finish...

That's to fix any underlying bugs that may be on your system that may NOT be solely due to the Creators Update. It essentially replaces the core Windows 10 files (some of which may be corrupted) with ones from the Install media, then continues to update anything that still needs further updates.

I did this several times in the past to fix errors such as the Start Menu (in first year) failing, but even used it just a few months ago and it fixed a weird issue.
