Wireless Access point help needed

I'm planning to have my old router as a internet access point for my basement, and I was wondering if theres anything I can buy to be able to not have the routers connected through a CAT5 cable. I have a outlet next to where I want to setup everything in the basement that had a CAT5 port and a cable port and some other things I personaly don't know. Is it at all possible to maybe just have it connected to that? I don't know I'm just now getting into all of this network type stuff so I am just doing this as s personal project and to have better internet where all my electronics are. Any help helps, thanks!

Any idea where that Cat 5 jack in the wall goes? Any chance it goes to where your primary router is? Thats by far the best way to go.
