Just wondering if it's possible to buy a PCI Wireless Adapter and use it as a WiFi hotspot for my devices? So like Router > Computer Ethernet > Wireless Adapter sort of thing, or possibly another card that could achieve that?

It is likely that, assuming you have one, your cable modem already is a WiFi hot spot for you, all your neighbors and anyone passing by

But I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to connect.

The way the wireless Router works is ...

Modem => Router => Desktops Via Ethernet
Modem => Router => Wireless to all your portable devices (laptops, phones, tablets, phablets, etc)
Modem => Router => Wireless to all "guests" portable devices (laptops, phones, tablets, phablets, etc)

What else do you want to connect ?

I mean that i want to use my computer as a wifi hotspot over my wireless router, since the range from one side of the house to the other is really bad...

What feature is it? I haven't bought a card yet so i can go out and get one.
