Wireless adapter for Desktop not working

Hi. So a month ago I bought this Archer T6E wireless adapter for my desktop because having a cable across my apartment isn't working out. I installed the adapter in, and now my PC is not even starting up. It keeps blue screening at boot up. I took out the adapter, and everything worked fine. I have the driver files right now on my desktop ready to install but it seems my PC doesn't even want to boot with the hardware installed. Please help.

The adapter is likely broken return/exchange it.

I guess that would be the best bet. I was trying to avoid that since I bought this back in September and I can't seem to find the receipt.
