Wireless Adapter not functioning

Hey guys my friend just bought a new PC consisting of a i5-4690k Powercolor Radeon HD 7770 GPU and so on, but it came w/ no internal network adapter so he put one in and it doesn't display in the adapter settings, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 😀
