So I've got my pc built and its running great on the ethernet connection, but I wanted to put in a wireless card. I got the archer t9e ac1900, but I can't download the drivers because the device doesn't show anywhere on my system. I've got a crosshair v formula-z for my motherboard if that helps

Im running windows 10. I have the drivers downloaded, however I can't install them because it can't find the wireless adapter

I assume that you downloaded the Windows 10 driver, so it may be a hardware issue.

Does the LED on the card shine when the computer is on? If you look in the device control panel do you see an unknown network device with an exclamation?

Can you try the card in another PCIe slot that is x1 or larger?

edit: once it does light up and show in the device manager, try doing the manual install according the the older Win8.1 manual install method HERE.

Hi

have you run the program to install the device drivers?
Did you have the error mesage that no wireless device found?

If the card is correctly inserted it may show up in device manager with an error message or symbol or as a unknown device

but it wont show up for networking until the correct driver is installed

didn't you get a driver CD for it?

Other users seem to have this problem with this particular adapter in Windows 10...My friend had one under Windows 10 and after many hours of research the only way he got it working was by contacting TP-Link via email...They send him the drivers and it works fine...

P.S. Dont use Gmail cause they cant send you the drivers there due to restriction...Yahoo mail will work for sure

The LED comes on, but there's nothing in the device manager
