Now the Ethernet is just better because it is a direct connect and their is no room for possible interference. Now does one notice the difference between direct connect and wireless?

It is difficult to give you an answer when you only show us one half of your equation. You haven't told us what kind of access point you have, what modes it uses, what kind of power it puts out, or what antennas it has.

All that said, a wired connection will give you superior performance. Wireless is hampered by distance, signal loss, attenuation, etc. The wire will be better. The above posts about "no room for interference" is wrong because the cable you listed is UNSHIELDED. It will incur loss if you run the cable next to power lines in your house.

It really comes down to one thing: can you run a Cat 5e cable in your house? If yes, do it. It will have lower latency and higher bandwidth (up to what your internet connection is capable of). If your parents wont let you drill holes in the wall or run a cable down the hallway, you can do wireless, but be aware it will not be so great for gaming.
