Hey all,

So I bought a new pc a few weeks ago that didnt come with a wireless adaptor built in so I had to use one that I had before (that worked perfectly fine) and for whatever reason the connection quality was awful. So I figured I needed a new one, and bought a TP-Link AC600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi USB Adapter - Archer T2U. At first it worked perfectly, and over the past week it has slowly become as awful and inconsistent as the last adaptor I tried.

What are my options here? Ideally I'd like to be able to have the router in my room so I could use cable but I don't know how that would work, if it can at all.

Solution
Since you have a USB adapter try a USB extension cable to place the adapter away from the case. The metal blocks signal and some machine can cause interference when you are very close.
