Wireless Android Auto

I bought a 2024 Ford Ranger. It came with wireless Android Auto.. It seems to be a bit buggy. I have a Pixel 8 and from time to time it can't find my phone and tells me to plug it in. If I turn the truck off and restart it my phone will be found by the wireless connection. Once in a while it will be running fine but all of a sudden goes dead and tells me to plug my phone in.

A friend of my bought a new I think 2023, maybe 2024 Ford F-250 and has been having the same issues, but he told me plugging his phone in doesn't always work. He has a Pixel 7

Interesting that you mentioned that. One of the first things I noticed with wireless Android Auto was when I was connected to the truck, I couldn't connect to the trucks wifi.

I'll make sure wifi is turned off on my phone and I'll see what happens.
