To answer "change my antenna" - probably not.

Not a matter of "better" per se but understood in general. Quality of design, materials, assembly, and supporting drivers being part of it all as well.

For the most part, the limit is the transmission power of the antenna which is set by regulation.

Reception generally being the "easier" part of it all.

One thing to try is to use an antenna extension cable to move the antenna up and about.

Or maybe a USB Wifi adapter with an extension cable.

Another option perhaps being to use a different wireless frequency and channel that is not being used or being used less by neighboring networks. You may need to coordinate any such changes with apartment mates.

There may be other ideas and suggestions.

In most cases it will make no difference. The antenna size is matched to the amplifiers in the chips to put out the maximum legal power. You can of course put bigger antenna on which is technically illegal but the larger problem is the antenna now put too much total signal into the chips. This will not damage them but they will actually work worse in some cases. Your problem is you might be increasing the signal you want but you are also increasing all the noise that is also on the same radio frequencies. It is this noise that is likely causing all your problems in the first place. There really is no way to reduce the noise since a lot of times it is your nieghbors wifi signals causing it.

So I was going to suggest antenna extension cables but it appears this motherboard already comes with remote antenna. This make a big difference since a metal case blocks the signals. Maybe move the antenna around a bit and you might get lucky.

After that you start looking at non wifi solution. Things like MoCA or maybe powerline networks.
