hello, my issue is that my wireless card is getting very hot and causing my graphics card to get hot from it i will be playing witcher 3 and my wireless will go to a grinding halt after shutting down witcher 3 internet works fine run a test, getting 30mbps download speed, after a few tests down to 20. I'm afraid my wireless card is rubbing off on my graphics card and making it get too hot i have another wireless card, i will try swapping them and seeing if i still have the issue
specs:
wireless card: pce-ac56
graphics card gtx 970sc acx 2.0
motherboard: asus z97-a
case: rosewill galaxy 01
fans: 1 back exhaust 1 top in 1 front in 1 side in
i appreciate any responses ty all!

Well if your GPU stays at 70ºC while gaming that's not something to worry about. Maybe you need to improve your case airflow to avoid getting your Wireless card getting too hot. Does your GPU model have an exhaust for its hot air or does it simply blow it inside your case? You might have to add an extractor fan on top of your video card to avoid having it blowing its hot air over your WLAN card.

my gpu has a acx2.0 fan that i run at 50% im downloading a 3gb game at the moment monitoring my speed and gpu temp without messing with my antennas i will report my results

After downloading a 3 gb about 400mb in to it my gpu rised 1c i had started my gpu only a few minutes ago so i dont think that was it, internet was stable at about 1.6/1.8 mbs download, only reason it was changing was the other 3 people in my house using the internet right now. i saw some gpu heat spikes (only 1-2c) and saw that alot of memory/clock was being used then, or however you say it just kinda repeating what i saw on my gpu-z i havent tested vice versa yet to be honest im kinda scared to in fear of my gpu/wlan card overheating its looking like its the gpu heating up the wlan card maybe i can buy a fan spiltter, a 60mm fan and some Velcro and get creative, i might muster the strength to do a vice versa test i will update
p.s. im a very paranoid person and have stress issues so i tend to take my time with testing things so a 2hr problem could be 3-4 days for me so it would mean alot if you could keep an eye on this post
cheers!

gonna write a quick summary of my tests
Running internet intensive activities seems to have little effect on my graphics card, that was known but the vice versa test, that is what i did today.
speeds before gaming at 70-77c (i have bad internet i know)
13 ping 14mbps dl 5.8mbps ul
30 mins in (70-77c)
15 ping 14mbps dl 6 mbps ul
1hr in (70-77c still)
13 ping 14mbps dl 6.2 mbps ul
so far it seems like the first try was just an anomaly, only thing to test is in garys mod seeing if my ping stays the same throughout playing! i will update on the situation i played for about 1hr after testing and its pretty late here, i will play gmod tomorrow and update you on the results
Cheers!
