Okay so, my room is across the house from my router (due to the fact that I wanted to be able to watch cable in my own room, so obviously I know that there's bound to be some issues. For instance, half the time it seems impossible to browse the web and YouTube videos can barely buffer in 144p. But then on the flip side of things, if I go and download a torrent I get about 1.3 M/bs, which is pretty fast to me. Also, my Xbox one seems to have no trouble watching YouTube or Netflix, however online play is sometimes laggy. Router is a Belkin N600 DB and my PC network adapter is a cisco wireless valet connector. I will add that sometimes I have full wireless signal while other times I have about 3/5 bars, but it doesn't seem to make a difference speed-wise. Internet provider is Suddenlink with the 15mbps package. Tried to run a speedtest but got an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT from chrome...lol. I think I usually get around 13mbps. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me know.
