I searched the forums but am not finding anything like this and I can’t for the life of me figure it out. I’m running an Asus RT-AC56R dual band wireless router at my house. It works flawlessly with everything; laptops, phones, Xbox. The only issue I am having is with the wireless connection to my Blu-ray player, which I’d really like to use for Netflix. It is a Samsung BD-J5700.
I’ve tested the signal strength with my laptop right next to the Blu-ray and it’s good. It seems like it’s connecting - the router shows up and accepts the password, but it gives me an error message that it can’t connect to the internet. Router and Blu-ray are set to WPA2PSK/AES.
Tried rebooting everything; cable modem, router, Blu-ray + changing the password & channel on the router. No effect. It’s got to be something really obvious, right?
