Hi,

Recently, we received a new TalkTalk router, the HG633 and I noticed my PC seems to keep disconnecting from the WiFi and then reconnecting. It seems to do it every now and then, it doesn't seem to be a every 10 minutes thing, it seems to be doing it randomly. It's definitely not the wifi going down as its only my PC that loses connection.

My wireless adapter is the TP-Link mini wireless N usb adapter, the TL-WN823N model.

Could there be a problem with the model working with the new router? A windows 10 issue?

I've tried reinstalling the drivers and updating them. I've checked the router settings and 2.4ghz is enabled.

What else could it be?

Thanks

I'm afraid that did not seem to work. The connection still seems to be dropping and re-connecting. What else could I troubleshoot or try?

Upon investigation of the router, it seems when certain android phones connect, it causes conflict and my PC disconnects.

My wireless adapter runs on the 2.4ghz frequency so is this because it does not operate as well as a 5ghz frequency? The router is dual band and I don't seem to get any issues on any other devices. I have tried DHCP reservation and assigning an IP address to my PC but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Is there anything else I can try or would a better solution be to simply buy an adapter that supports 5ghz? Annoyingly, it worked fine with the older router.

Thanks.
