Wireless connection works on other devices but not laptop

Hello my mother's laptop worked fine yesterday wireless connection and so on but she said that today something repair tool came out something that way she described and closed it down and suddenly her wireless connection doesnt work and it wont let me search for the problem or try to find a other wireless connection but the wireless connection does work on my iphone etc so i know the problem doesnt lie within the company that provides me the internet.. what can i do to fix this problem for her?

Can you do a System Restore back to when it worked OK?

Is the wifi device shown as working in Control Panel, Device Manager? Does it have the lastest drivers?

What make and model router have you got? Is it located near where the laptop is used?

Can you see and connect to the network with Control Panel Connect to a Network?
