Wireless extender recommendation

Looking for a simple inexpensive way to extend my wireless network. I live in an old house with the router in a front corner which means I can't get signal when I'm at the other end of the house. What is the simplest way to get coverage on the whole house? I can run cable but would prefer not to since I'm renting.

A cable with a WIFI access point is the best answer. That will also allow you to use a wired connection for gaming.
