Wireless Gaming Headset

Hi, I'm interested in replacing my current Headset (Steelseries Siberia V2) with a wireless headset. My price range is about £80.

I was thinking of this Logitech Headset . I would be using the headset for gaming and listening to music.

could i just use the vengeance 2100 in regular stereo mode?

Yeah, you can. I have the Vengeance 2000 (2100 with weaker swivel joints and silver, no other differences) and the stereo mode works just fine. It's very comfortable and light, and I haven't had a single issue with them, other than plugging them into a damaged USB port and wondering why they wouldn't work. The software is easy to use, it has a convenient equalizer with presets, and it's easy to change to 5.1 and 7.1 and back to stereo. I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but it is a great headset. I'll be happy to answer any questions about it.

Do the drivers work okay with Windows 8.1?

What is the microphone sensitivity like?

The mic works well, it picks up your voice, but not too much surrounding noise. I have not tested it extensively on Windows 8.1, but it worked just fine when I did use the headset on a Windows 8 computer.

From what I've read in reviews, I am stuck between the Logitech G930 and Corsair Vengeance 2100. :S

Both are very nice headsets, but I would go with the 2100 because of the 50mm drivers. This usually means better bass and potentially better sound quality. Corsair also has great customer service if anything does happen to your headset. The G930's programmable keys are nice, but not too impressive. The media controls don't work with many music programs and the other options aren't that impressive. They are fairly tight, while the 2100 is pretty loose, so that does depend on your preference. If you wear glasses, the G930 will do a nice job of crushing your skull, but due to better sound isolation, you'll hear less of your environment and more of what's coming through the headset, and also slightly better bass.

What makes me lean towards the Logitech headset is the manual mute button. I personally think it is more reliable, than the push up to mute. But then I have also seen a lot of negative reviews regarding the Logitech's reliability.

The push up to mute works really well, actually. The wheel control for the volume is nice, too.

Just wondering does sound leak much from the Corsair headset?

Not too badly, but my ears are usually inside it.

Yea I think I'm persuaded Thanks for the help, One of the top factors is that the Corsair has foam ear cups, Which I think would be more comfortable.
