Wireless internet is connected but web page display no server

I have netbook with win xp
It is connected wirelessly to modem the internet was working until we upgraded the modem , now i see on the netbook that it is connected to internet but when i open internet page it dispays server not found
I tried the answers posted to repair ip or winsock but it didn't work
Please help me

Start -> Run, type in: cmd

a DOS window should open

type: ping 72.30.2.43

Next type: ping www.yahoo.com

The first one: timed out
Packets: sent= 4, received=0 lost=4 (100% loss)

The second one
Ping request could not find host www.yahoo.com please check the name and try again

can you test it with the ethernet port to see if it is a internet problem or a wireless problem?
