Wireless internet not working

I have a dell inspirion 1526 and my wireless internet doesnot work. Ive downloaded the driver for it but it still does not work at all. pleasehelp.

There may be a "Fn" key combination to turn the radio on. It will have a symbol like a radio tower on it.

Yeah its on the side of my laptop, when i push the button over , the light won't even turn on.

Does device manager see the wireless card? Is it disabled? Check in your BIOS as well.

I'm sorry im not very computer savey here. I'm not to sure how to do all that lol.

Right click your computer. Choose Properties. Device Manager should be in there. It will list all the hardware in your system that Windows knows about. Look for any red 'X' or yello '!'. The former indicates a disabled item (possibly in your BIOS, or you may be able to enable it there), and the latter indicates a driver problem.

Ok under "other devices" there is a Yellow ! next to network controller. It looks like there is no driver.

Dell's web site should have a place to download all the drivers needed by that model.
