What router should I go with?

-Under $100 budget
-Because I live in Mexico my ISP gives me 20 mbps of internet speed, which is slow for you.
-4 smartphones, 2 tablets, and 3 laptops will be using internet. (It's a family obviously)
-I do gaming for about 5-10 hrs. a week, though I will be connected via ethernet to the router because the modem is in another room.

Solution
No repeaters do not require a cable connection, but you really do not want to use a wireless repeater, they do not work well.

You are much better off using a wireless AP (actually an inexpensive router configured as an AP), which does have to be connected to the router with a cable or a pair of powerline adapters. (with powerline, I recommend only the latest 600Mbps models that actually do around 100Mbps). I install them all the time in larger homes and they work very well if properly placed (in the low signal or dead zone area).
