Wireless Network 8.1 Trouble shoot

My problem is that all of a sudden my windows HP 8.1 disconnected from my internet. I went under my PC setting's and it shows that there is no wireless adapter even installed on this laptop! it was wireless but now its being plug up by an Ethernet cord. Why and how did the wireless option on this HP laptop all of a sudden despair and how can I get it back?

Might have broken. try getting a new one then try that. If it doesn't work return it
