Hi everybody,

I have a laptop Acer Aspire 7741Z-4643 and I accidentally uninstalled the wireless software of the laptop, therefore, now the laptop cannot connect to the wifi router because the software for the device "wireless" is not installed...... but I do not know how to re-install what I accidentally uninstalled. Can someone familiar with this issue help me with this or some do a quick google search and lead me a webpage to fix this or can someone help me fix this, please? Any input to this issue will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S: Device manager now does not show the "wireless network adapter" because it has been uninstalled.

Hi,
in these situations you only need to reinstall the driver:
click this link > select from list > notebook > aspire > 7741Z > select your os.

Unfortunately this model can come with one of 3 types of wireless cards so you will need to determine which one is yours. Here are a few ways to find out:

1. The easiest way would be if a sticker on your laptop detailing specifications said something like "atheros" or "broadcom" or "intel 802.11"
2. If not, another way to find out would be to go to programs and features and look for any wireless drivers for atheros, broadcom or intel. Even if you uninstalled the driver from device manager, some wireless software may be remaining.

3. A third option is trial and error with each type on the acer website. you will want to install one at a time, and if it doesn't work, uninstall it in programs and features and try the next one.

Hope this helps.
