Wireless on/off button

Hello,
wireless button on pavilion dv7-2173cl won't turn on. The HP Wireless Assistant popup says "The device has been turned off by another user. To turn on the device you must enable the Wireless Asst Properties to show the Independent Controls for installed wireless devices." I click on more information and it takes me to th Windows Mobility Center, but the wireless network and HP Assistant boxes aren't enabled to allow me to click on "turn wireless on"

Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager -- check that the wireless network adapter is present, not disabled and not yellow flagged as faulty.

May need a new driver.
