I have a computer with Gigabyte G1 Sniper B7 motherboard. As i shifted it to other place in my home i lost ethernet for a while now so tried to shift on Wireless. Now i bought an Atheros AR5B95 for a PCIE slot and also got it checked but my motherboard isnt detecting it. It does get current from the board as on the light is on. So what should i do now?
I am using 1050 TI on the PCIEx16 slot.
I placed the wireless first in PCIEX1_1 and then in PCIEX1_2 but it was not detected by the system and even not in device manager. It only draws power for one of the led light on the wireless card.
: NOOB :

Is this (https://www.amazon.com/Atheros-AR5B95-AR9285-802-11A-Half/dp/B0098VWMOE) the wireless card you bought?

If so, this module is for laptops and not desktop PC's. I see that your motherboard has an m.2 slot for a wifi module, is that where youre trying to connect this to, or a long PCIe slot typically used for a graphics card?

I bought and got it checked on Shop Owner's Computer. It worked on his computer and its driver was automatically installed but on my Sniper B7 it only just draws power. I installed it in the PCIEX1_1 and then on PCIEX1_2 but to no avail. These are not the longer slots or those used for Graphics Card. They are the shorter ones named PCEX1_1 and PCIEX2_2
