I have a friend with a home office on her second floor.
Is there any way to set up a wireless monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the first floor of her house?

Wireless monitor? Not a chance.

Buy a laptop, then she can be anywhere, porch, poolside. Need massive storage? A NAS on the network.
