I have a d link dsl 2750 u router modem through which all my 3 laptops and smartphones access the Internet wirelessly. To the USB port of this router I have added my hp f4100 series printer. This printer is able to receive print command from my laptops and prints effortlessly. Can I use the some settings to use the printer from my Android phone. Also the scanner function is not being used from any laptop /Android. As I don't use the print function very frequently, I do not wish to invest in a new printer. Any help would be appreciated.

I use my tablet much more often than my laptop. I use it to access my email, make presentation /reports. Which I require to print. For that firstly I need to mail it to myself, switch on the laptop, download that attachment and print. If the attachment is a heavy file I connect my tablet to laptop and print.
I want a solution so that I can give a print command directly from my tablet and my printer kept in another room prints it out.

When the printer is attached directly to the modem without any desktop/Laptop in between other laptops on the same wi fi network recognise it as a network printer at ip address \\http://192.168.1.1/631/hp.Apps such as printershare allow my android to send print command to a network printer attached to my desktop to which the printer should be connected but that requires the desktop to be continuously switched on. .There must be some tweak in the system to allow the print command to be send directly to the modem which sends it to the printer..like it does when i send a command from my laptops.
