Hi there, please help, i am wondering if it is worth getting a wifi range extender as part of the house gets quite bad signal, and a sleepout hat would be receiving barely any signal, i am wondering if these wifi extenders slow down your internet or do they really work?? Please help, and is it possible to plug an ethernet cord into the extender part, thanks!!!

Yes and yes. But they have a place

First, yes it is possible for an extender to have bridging capabilities also. But for clarity, do you want to plug in a cable to supply the network to WiFi (an access point if used just for that) or access the network without a WiFi adapter on the computer? (a bridge if used just for that)

This answer will depend on the house as well and environment you live in. Ie if your house is with real material, like stone and not the cheap plasterboard stuff, then you will find the wifi signal will reduce significantly once you close that room door. Or if you live in a built up area where the air is quite polluted for other low frequencies radiation that would reduce the signal of your wifi, and the strength will depend on each part of the house.
