Hey everyone. Pehaps a dumb question I don't exactly know, but apparently we can't have our own wireless network at school anymore but we can still use a router for the extra LAN Ports for TV's Computers Ect

My question is, Is there a difference in wired speed in different wireless routers? I get the whole thing that wireless ac is current but that doesn't have anything to do with wired connections does it?

EDIT : Hey since I can't run wireless anyway, what about getting a wired router like this one?

I've never use one before, any thoughts?

Solution
wireless and wired are separate from each other.

most new routers come with 1000Mb/s ports which will be faster than you school's internet connection.
