Wireless stops after clean install

I've done a clean install of windows 7 home (Brand new) on my Sony Vaio. But after about 1 or 2 minutes or about 1mb Of data the wireless drops out.
If I reboot, wireless and internet come back for the same length of time.
My iphone connects perfectly to the router.
Have rebooted everything and reconnected carefully in the correct order.
Have tried various fixes found on the internet but nothing works.

I'm Englishman in Spain and really struggling with this - Please help

Have you tried downloading the driver for this device from Sony?

Double check that your security matches (WEP/WPA, whatever) and that your computer isn't getting an IP that is already assigned to your phone or another wireless signal in the place.

Thank you guys for your input. The issue is now resolved. The answer it would seem is that I needed the correct or updated drivers. But without wireless I could not download them except by Ethernet cable which I didn't have because I was away from home. Cheers
