Recently having problems with my desktop. My computer has been having issue of getting stuck at the shutting down page(the circle beside it still spinning so its not freezing) and i have to hold down the power button for like 5 seconds to reboot it. However, this long shutdown problem ONLY HAPPEN when my TP LINK USB WIRELESS ADAPTER has no light which means no connection to the internet. It got nothing to do with my modem or internet because my mobile is still connected to the wifi. So its like SOMETIMES i start my computer, the wireless adapter will not work and i have to restart my computer to get it working again but when i want to restart, it cause me to hang at shutting down screen(not freeze as the circle beside the shutting down word still spinning)..

I have a feeling it got something to do with the drivers. Thats why sometimes during after start-up, the driver for the tp-link or whichever never load. Which is why no matter how i unplug and replug in the USB, it won't detect it. Have to restart the computer
My drivers is the latest though.

There is NO SOUND when i unplug the wireless usb adapter and replug it. You know the sound that comes from the system when you plug in a thumbdrive, yes, that's the sound.I have to restart my computer to get it working again.

If i keep holding on to the power button(4 sec) to shutdown, sooner or later, will spoil my hardware physically rather than software issues right? Because if spoil due to software issue, can still reformat to solve but if hardware, have to change . -.-

Hello, did you ever get a solution, Im having the exact same problem with my computer, it keeps trying to shut down the times that the TP-Link adapter won't start, its crazy that Im having the exact same problems since I got my TP Link network adapter.

Hello I finally found what the problem was in my pc, the USB 3.0 driver was causing the issue, so I uninstalled them, (I don't use any usb 3.0 devices at the moment), after that it will always work when starting the pc.
