Wirelss connections show up but i cant connect

windows 7 - I see 4 unsecured wireless networks showing up n my lAPTOP bUT I CAN't connect. a few days ago I WAs able to connect i tried my 2nd laptop same problem. what could be happening

What could be happening is that they've spotted you nicking their bandwidth and have turned on the access list facility in their routers.

Unless you can spoof a MAC id I think you may have to get your own internet service.

There is another thing too..

The routers transmit is usually a lot longer then YOUR transmit..

IE, you can see them.. but your card can't put enough power out to connect...

If you want to fix that, get a bigger antenna
