Question wiring for the double lead acid batteries inside a UPS?

Hi, I just bought two lead acid batteries to change for my UPS. It's an older model of cyberpower 1350AVR that has been discontinued (there is a newer one with the identical model number). However, I just discovered that I no longer have the plastic piece nor the wiring that connects the two lead acid batteries inside. I guess I can fashion up something in place of the plastic piece, but I still need the wirings. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can buy these wirings (and what they are called?). Also, how many wires do I need and how to connect them to the batteries? It is too expensive to buy the OME batteries. Any pointer is greatly appreciated!

I don't know the answer, but it is certain that if those lead-acid batteries are not truly sealed batteries, then they will corrode and destroy the inside of your UPS. During the charge and discharge cycles very acidic fumes would normally be released for lead-acid batteries. You wouldn't even want those in your home next to a wall or without ventilation.

Generically what you are looking for is a wiring harness.

You do not want third party batteries for the UPS.

Who knows how those batteries were manufactured and assembled. Could even be refurbished.

And the same holds for any "wiring harnesses" that claims to fit or otherwise be "compatible".

Harness is likely to be substandard (too thin, poorly insulated, sloppy/ill-fitted connectors) and dangerous in itself. Once conductors or connections gets hot then they could fail.

At best just melt and disconnect. At worst, smoke, sparks, fumes, and fire.

Do not take the risk.

Return the current batteries and purchase a new UPS from a known vendor and source.

Get the newer model or version with full warranty and much less chance of being defective, substandard, or even counterfeit.
