Wiring Setup for LED 16mm & 19mm 12V Momentary Switches

I bought 2 LED momentary switches on eBay. A 16mm and a 19mm, both 12V.
I want to use the 16mm as my reset switch and the 19mm as my power switch. I want reset switch LED to stay lit only when the computer is on and the power switch LED to stay lit whenever there is AC current to the PC. Also I want to still have the have the standard 5mm Power LED on when the PC is on. What would I have to do to make the possible?

I will need something with a Molex connection to keep the power switch always on right?

To have it always on, you'll need it to be on the 5V standby line - the 12V on the 4-pin peripheral plugs gets switched off when the computer is turned off. It should run fine at 5V, but will be a lot dimmer. You'll need to tap into the 24-pin ATX cable to get that.

For the reset switch that is only on when the computer is on, you want the yellow and black wires on the 4-pin peripheral plug. You should be able to connect one to each of the far contacts; it looks like polarity doesn't matter.

Those connectors look to be too small to use spade lugs on; you'll probably want to solder them.

To wire the switch on each, you need to go between the NO (Normally Open) and C (Common) terminals. Polarity doesn't matter.

By 4-pin peripheral plug, you mean the Molex connectots, right? Which black wire would I need to use?

Which wires do I tap into on the 24-pin ATX cable.

Should it be wired like the diagrams below?

Yes, that's right.

Either black wire on a 4-pin peripheral/molex (molex is a little misleading; most of the plugs in a PC are made by them).

For the power switch, any black wire (including the previous molex) for ground, and you want the purple wire at pin #9 (note that as that's a 5V line, it will be a little dim).

Cool! How did it go?

It went well. The stcok switches were smaller the the new ones, so I bought a step drill bit to make the holes a little bigger. I made Molex connection to power the the switches. This way if I change any thing I can just disconnect them and I didn't have to splice into my PSU. For now the LEDs come on with the PC. I may change this at some point, like I originally planned.
