Hey

First off, apologies if this is not the right place to ask, but I need some quick help.

So I'm coming from console to pc, and tbh I don't mind 900p as long as I can get stable 60fps because they look the same on console (to me). I'm having some trouble with stable 60fps on witcher 3 at 1080p (medium/low settings). So I want to bump it down to 900p. The settings in witcher 3 are as follows:
1920x1080
1680x1050
1600x1200
1400x1200
1400x1050
1280x1024
1280x800
1280x768
1280x720
1152x864
1024x768
I don't see 900p on there, and everytime I bump it down, the game looks horizontally stretched. Which of these is the 900p option (if here)?

Thanks ahead of time

What are your specs? And yes its going to look like crap if you lower the resolution from native 1080p, it will look stretched and blurry. Its not the same way resolution works on console, I cant really explain why but running a game at 720p on pc with 1080p screen is not the same as a console game running at 720p on a 1080p screen. On console when developers lower the resolution to make a game run better they must do something to make it look right and fit a 1080p screen properly (im not sure what), in contrast if you run a game at 720p on a 1080p screen on pc its going to look ugly.

I'm running an R9 380 4GB with an i3-6100. Alright I figured that might be the case, and that makes sense. I always figured something like that was the case because the monitors for console vs. pc are different, but didn't have any evidence. Then I guess I'll just pick any of the resolution since the 900p (like the xbox one witcher 3 version) isn't an option for me. Thanks

Huh. That's really strange that it's not offering a 1600x900 resolution, since that would be the same aspect ratio (16:9) as 1920x1080/1080p.

The only possibility might be that your monitor doesn't have that particular resolution available. I know that it's the maximum resolution for my particular monitor (along with lower resolutions), but I suppose it's possible that yours doesn't offer it.

Oh so that's the resolution for 900p? That's good to know, but yea I don't have that option.

I don't know the monitor's name because I bought it used from a friend, but it's a dell. It's refresh rate is 60hz and can only display 1080. It's pretty cheap, nothing special.
