Witcher 3: CPU tempertaures too hot

Basically,
I have an i3-6100 and a 1060 as my PC. I recently started to play The Witcher 3 and my computer ran it better than i expected at 58-60 fps on most ultra except grass density and foilage. But the problem is that i thing my i3 gets too hot because it reaches 68-78 C. I have seen it go to 81 C once or twice. So I was wondering how can i get my temps down or if this temperature is safe enough to play.

Yeah that's too warm. Heavy load max should be 75. The 68-78 is a bit warm but not terrible. We want to get that load temps down tho. Have you tried applyign new thermal paste? Do you have the stock cooler im assuming?

I built my PC like 2 months ago, but I just played and now it was at like 68 C at 80-90% usage. I think my temps lowered because my case have a button to increase fan speed or something and i pressed it to see if it would do anything, and i guess it worked
